Da Lian Da Holdings, an international leading semiconductor component distributor dedicated to the Asia Pacific market, announced that its subsidiary, Shiping, has launched a vehicle air conditioning compressor drive solution based on Flagchip FC4150 MCU, NXP FS2600 Automotive Safety System Basic Chip (SBC), Ansemi NFVA35065L32-D IPM module, and SGMICRO SGM8557H-1AQ automotive grade operational amplifier chip.

With the rapid development of the automotive industry, the performance and efficiency of in car air conditioning systems are receiving increasing attention. As the core part of the air conditioning system, the on-board air conditioning compressor plays an indispensable role. The vehicle air conditioning compressor drive scheme based on the Qixin Micro FC4150 MCU, NXP FS2600 power management chip, Ansemi NFVA35065L32-D IPM module, and SGMICRO SGM8557H-1AQ automotive grade operational amplifier chip by Dalian Daping has the advantages of high efficiency, energy conservation, and environmental protection, making it an ideal choice for new energy vehicle air conditioning systems.

In the selection of microcontrollers, this scheme adopts FC4150 32-bit MCU under Qixin Micro, which is based on high-performance Arm? Cortex- M4 core design, with a maximum operating frequency of 150MHz, and built-in high-speed memory, rich I/O ports, and various peripherals.

In the motor drive section, the scheme adopts an IPM with integrated pre drive and 6 IGBT tubes for electronic commutation control of the motor. The core chip uses NFVA35065L32-D, a subsidiary of onsemi. This chip is equipped with three high-speed half bridge high-voltage gate drive circuits, integrated with a (650V/50A) low loss IGBT transistor, supports a maximum PWM of 20KHz, and also provides multiple module protection functions including undervoltage locking, overcurrent locking, temperature monitoring of the driver and integrated circuit, and fault reporting, which can provide excellent performance for automotive motor applications.

For the low-voltage power supply part, this scheme adopts a functional safety power management chip FS2600 from NXP. This chip has multiple BUCK, BOOST outputs, and LDO regulators, which can power MCU, SENSOR, peripheral IC, and communication interface. FS2600B has rich monitoring and diagnostic functions. During system operation, FS2600 and FC4150 communicate through SPI, which can provide potential fault monitoring and greatly enhance the safety characteristics of the system.

The operational amplifier part adopts SGM8557H-1AQ chip under SGMICRO to complete current sampling of the bottom transistor of IPM. SGM8557H-1AQ meets the AEC-Q100 Level 1 certification and can meet the stringent requirements of automotive environments.

In addition to rich hardware support, this solution adopts the software library architecture of Shiping Sensorless FOC dual resistance sampling in software, and rotates the motor through onboard potentiometers. And a dual loop control with current loop and acceleration loop is adopted to make the system operation more stable.

The MCU is based on the Arm Cortex-M4 core, with a main frequency of 150MHz, and is equipped with a 96MHz high-speed oscillator, 512KB Flash, 128KB SRAM, and a 12 bit ADC with a sampling rate of 1MSPS;
