Da Lian Da Holdings, an international leading semiconductor component distributor dedicated to the Asia Pacific market, announced that its subsidiary Pinka has launched a 3.3KW high-power density bidirectional phase shifted full bridge solution based on Infineon XMC4200 microcontroller and CFD7 CoolMOSFET.

Currently, global attention to renewable energy is increasing. As a sustainable and clean energy source, solar energy has been widely used in various fields such as households, industry, and commerce. However, with the further expansion of the application scope of solar energy, the industry urgently needs more efficient energy conversion technologies to improve the performance of solar systems. In response to this, Da Lian Da Pin Jia has launched a 3.3KW high-power density bidirectional phase shifted full bridge (PSFB) scheme based on the Infineon XMC4200 microcontroller and CFD7 CoolMOS MOSFET. Through advanced semiconductor devices and control algorithms, the efficiency of PSFB topology design has reached a new level.

XMC4200 is an industrial grade microcontroller based on the Arm Cortex-M4 kernel, featuring 16 bit and 32-bit Thumb2 instruction sets, DSP/MAC instructions, floating-point units, memory protection units, and nested vector interrupt controllers. Internally integrated with 16KB boot ROM, it has up to 16KB of high-speed program memory, 24KB of high-speed data memory, 256KB with flash memory, and rich communication peripherals, enabling excellent performance in harsh industrial environments.
CFD7 CoolMOS MOSFET is a product of Infineon's CFD7 series with high-voltage super junction MOSFET technology integrated with fast body diodes, which is very suitable for high-power SMPS applications, such as servers/telecommunications/EV charging stations, etc. By encapsulating first-class 600V CFD7 CoolMOS in surface mount device (SMD) packaging? The combination of MOSFET and 150V OptiMOS 5 synchronous rectifier can achieve an efficiency of 98% in buck mode and 97% in boost mode.

Thanks to the excellent performance of semiconductor products, advanced SMD packaging technology, and innovative stacked magnetic structures, this scheme can achieve a power density of 4.34 W/cm3 (71.19 W/in3), once again proving that PSFB topology can be used for bidirectional DC/DC stage. And achieve better energy efficiency without changing traditional topology standards or constructions.
