On April 9, 2024, Da Lian Da Holdings, an international leading semiconductor component distributor dedicated to the Asia Pacific market, announced that its subsidiary, Shiping, has launched a Matter Thread wireless module solution based on NXP K32W061 wireless microcontroller.
With the increasing variety of smart home products, people's requirements for cross platform connectivity are also constantly increasing. In this context, the Matter protocol emerged and became a powerful support for promoting the development of the smart home industry. The Matter protocol is launched by the CSA Connection Standards Alliance, aiming to break down communication barriers between different brands, enabling smart home devices to truly achieve interconnectivity and enhance the smart home experience. In order to enable developers to develop smart home products that support the Matter protocol more efficiently, Da Lian Da Shi Ping has launched the Matter Thread wireless module solution based on the NXP K32W061 wireless microcontroller, which can help smart devices seamlessly integrate into the home ecosystem.
K32W061 is an ultra low power and high-performance wireless microcontroller under NXP, based on Arm? Cortex- M4 kernel, supporting ZigBee, Thread (IEEE802.15.4 network protocol), BLE protocol, and Matter application development. Moreover, the product has a compact appearance and multiple low-power modes, providing ultra-low Tx (transmit) and Rx (receive) power consumption, making it very suitable for applications with limited space and power requirements. For example, smart home products such as Smart Energy, Home Automation, Smart Lighting, remote control, or wireless sensors.
In addition to the core MCU, the solution is also equipped with Winbond's W25Q80DV Flash product, which can more flexibly meet the design needs of different applications.

At present, with the help of this solution, the deep integration of bubble lights and HomePod Mini has been easily achieved. Users can now easily adjust the brightness, color, and color temperature of bubble lights through a dedicated smart home app, creating a different atmosphere for your living space. At the same time, by combining the solution with door magnetic products, the opening and closing status of the door can be displayed in real time, providing a solid guarantee for the safety of users at home.
