Beijing, China, April 7, 2024- MathWorks, a leading global developer of mathematical computing software, announced today that it will release MATLAB? And Simulink? Product series version 2024a (R2024a). The new feature launched by R2024a can simplify the workflow of artificial intelligence and wireless communication system engineers and researchers.
Currently, there are nearly 6000 low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites operating in orbit, and billions of private funds are flowing into space related companies, leading to a sustained increase in interest in satellite communication. Satellite Communications Toolbox in R2024a? Updates enable satellite communication engineers to model scenarios and provide standard based tools for designing, simulating, and validating satellite communication systems and links. In addition, engineers can use the toolbox to design physical layer algorithms, generate test waveforms, and perform golden reference design verification while designing RF components and ground station receivers.

R2024a also includes important updates to popular MATLAB and Simulink tools, including:
-Computer Vision Toolbox? Provide a variety of algorithms, functions, and apps for designing and testing computer vision, 3D vision, and video processing systems. This product includes the ability to design algorithms, annotate data, and generate code for 2D and 3D visual tasks;
-Deep Learning Toolbox? Contains a series of algorithms, pre trained models, and apps to provide a framework for designing and implementing deep neural networks. This toolbox supports architectures such as transformers, as well as importing and co simulating PyTorch and TensorFlow models;
-Instrument Control Toolbox? MATLAB can be directly connected to various instruments, such as oscilloscopes, function generators, signal analyzers, power supplies, and analytical instruments. The Instrument Explorer can be used to manage devices with IVI and VXI Plug&Play drivers without the need for coding.
"The rapid development of wireless systems poses severe challenges for engineers, and it is crucial to use multifunctional communication tools for design, simulation, and verification," said Dominic Viens, Director of Technical Product Marketing at MathWorks. "The update of R2024a will promote the implementation and support of the next generation communication system."
