Vishay's new high reliability isolation amplifier features industry-leading CMTI for precision applications
Provide industry-leading 150 kV/μ s CMTI, 400 kHz bandwidth, and ± 0.3% low gain error
MALVERN, Pennsylvania, USA, Shanghai, China - June 5, 2025- Recently, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE stock code: VSH) announced the launch of its latest isolation amplifiers - VIA0050DD, VIA0250DD, and VIA2000SD. These new devices have stronger performance and are suitable for applications that require high precision, high reliability, and compact size, such as industrial, automotive, and medical applications.
The VIA series isolation amplifier has excellent thermal stability and precise measurement capability. These amplifiers have a typical common mode transient immunity (CMTI) of 150 kV/μ s, providing stable performance even in harsh environments such as heavy-duty motor applications. A low gain error of ± 0.05% and a typical minimum gain drift of 15 ppm/° C ensure accurate measurements under different time and temperature conditions without calibration. In addition, these devices also provide a high bandwidth of 400 kHz, which is faster in measurement speed compared to traditional optoelectronic isolation amplifiers.
Each amplifier in this series also has low offset error and drift, stronger isolation capability, and built-in diagnostic function, which can simplify the measurement of precision current and voltage. The built-in common mode voltage detection can prevent faults in current and voltage measurement applications, making these amplifiers particularly suitable for applications that require extremely high reliability. This series is compatible with Vishay's WSBE low TCR, high-power splitter, ensuring excellent performance over a wide temperature range of -40 ° C to+125 ° C.
VIA0050DD is a capacitor isolated amplifier optimized for environments with limited space and low power consumption. This device has a high common mode transient immunity (CMTI) of at least 100 kV/μ s, ensuring reliable performance even in noisy environments. With a low differential input voltage of ± 50 mV, it is an ideal choice for precise isolation current measurement in space limited applications such as power inverters, battery energy storage systems, motor phase current detection, and industrial motor control. Similarly, due to its wide differential input voltage of ± 250 mV, the VIA0250DD can provide isolated current and voltage measurements.
VIA2000SD has the highest signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and bandwidth among the three products, making it the best choice for high fidelity signal transmission in complex environments. Its linear differential input voltage (0.02 V to 2 V) can achieve accurate isolation voltage measurement, suitable for applications such as bus voltage monitoring and UPS.
The VIA series isolation amplifier is designed to provide reliable and accurate performance for a variety of applications, including bus voltage monitoring, AC motor control, power and solar inverters, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). These amplifiers ensure accurate measurement of high-voltage potential dividers and precision splitters, easy monitoring of industrial motor drivers, stable performance for renewable energy systems, and maintaining signal integrity in critical power systems.
VIA0050DD, VIA0250DD, and VIA2000SD can now provide samples and have achieved mass production, with a supply cycle of 12 to 16 weeks.
