On May 21, 2024, Da Lian Da Holdings, an international leading semiconductor component distributor dedicated to the Asia Pacific market, announced that its subsidiary Youshang has launched a 4K 60 frame high-definition image detection solution based on the Ansemi AR2020 image sensor and NOVATEK Natek platform.
With the wave of Industry 4.0 sweeping across the world, smart factories have become an important symbol of the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry. In this intelligent revolution, high-performance cameras play a crucial role. Whether it is precise positioning in automated assembly lines, identification of minor defects in quality inspection, or tracking of product flow in logistics management, high frame rate and high-definition image detection are key to ensuring efficient operation of industrial automation equipment. In response to this trend, Da Lian Da You Shang has launched a 4K 60 frame high-definition image detection solution based on the onsemi AR2020 image sensor and NOVATEK Natek platform.
AR2020 is a 1/1.8-inch backlit (BSI) stacked CMOS digital image sensor under Ansemy, featuring a 5120 x 3840 active pixel array. This advanced sensor can capture images in linear or enhanced dynamic range (eDR) mode and read them out using a rolling shutter mode. The structural design of AR2020 aims to provide high-quality performance with extremely low power consumption. It is supported by onsemi's 1.4 μ m BSI pixels and performs excellently in low light and near-infrared wavelengths. In addition, AR2020 has powerful data capture capabilities at the edge, can be programmed through multiple options, and provides the best bandwidth at extremely low power consumption.
The design of the Natek platform combined with AR2020 enables the solution to output full resolution images of up to 20 million pixels through a USB 3.0 interface. At the same time, it also supports HDMI output and can provide high-definition images of 4KP60. Not only that, the platform can also provide gigabit Ethernet ports or WiFi video streaming according to customer requirements, suitable for industrial microscopes and outdoor photography product applications that require high pixels and high frame rates.
