Beijing, China, May 21, 2024- X-FAB Silicon Foundries ("X-FAB"), a globally recognized excellent analog/mixed signal wafer foundry, announced today an update to its XP018 high-voltage CMOS semiconductor manufacturing platform, adding new 40V and 60V high-voltage basic devices - these devices have scalable SOA and improve operational robustness. Compared with the previous generation platform, the RDSon resistance of the second generation high-voltage basic devices updated this time has been reduced by up to 50%, providing better choices for certain critical applications - especially suitable for systems that require device size reduction and unit cost reduction.

The XP018 platform, as a modular 180 nanometer high-voltage EPI technology solution, is based on a low mask 5V single gate core module, supporting a wide temperature range of -40 ° C to 175 ° C, and providing a range of optional devices and modules including high gain bipolar devices, standard and high capacitance density MIM capacitors, multi threshold (Vt) options, Schottky diodes, and depletion devices.
This platform is equipped with highly reliable automotive NVM solutions, such as embedded flash memory (Eflash) EEPROM and OTP are designed specifically for cost sensitive and robust automotive, industrial, and medical applications.
In addition to the newly launched 40V/60V devices, the platform has also added a 5.3V Zener diode to further enhance its performance. This new low leakage current Zener diode is designed to provide effective protection for gate oxygen in critical applications, such as broadband gap gate driver applications. In addition, it also offers a series of new isolated drain high-voltage devices with a maximum voltage of 24V and 1.8V MOS devices with a medium threshold voltage option.
